St. Andrew’s Home Bible Studies

Christians view the news. Some of our home study groups use a weekly study called The Wired Word that challenges them to put on the heart and mind of Christ as they study a current event from the viewpoint of Scripture.

Topics and issues have included:
     Rights of Patients and Caregivers
     Mega or Missional Church?
Mt. Everest – the Ethics of Rescue
     Bad Theology and Terrorism
Equal Rights for Same Sex Unions

Invite neighbors and have friends bring their friends. Choose the place, and time to meet and how often. The study is e-mailed weekly to each group with printed copies available in the church office. Interested in this week’s study?

Seekers' Adult Bible Study

Meets Sunday mornings at 8:45am in the RIO Center (next door to the church)

Join The Seekers Adult Sunday School Class as we begin our Spring study “God, the People and the Covenant” on March 2nd. This quarter we study passages from Chronicles, Daniel, Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel. Each of these books comes from the third section of the Old Testament known as Ketuvim or Writings. The Writings contain what to many Christians are the least familiar books of the Old Testament and yet the matters addressed in these books could be lifted out of our church newsletters or discussions over coffee on the patio.  We meet in the RIO Senior Center Sundays from 08:45 to 10:00am, so you can still fellowship with friends on the patio before the 10:30 am worship service. Come check us out!  Contact Kitty Carretti or Maureen Smith for more information or to get a book.

A Running Leap

Sundays, April 20-June 29, 4:30-6pm

in the Fellowship Hall

Have you ever tried to read all the way through the Bible only to get stuck in Leviticus? Have you ever read a passage in the Bible and wondered how it got in there? Have you ever had a chance to really see the sweep of all of Scriptures? Beginning Sunday April 20th and continuing through June, Rev. Lucy will be leading a study which will take you through the essential themes and formation of Scripture, giving you a chance to see what's really in there! We will meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 to 6pm to take our running leap through the Bible. If you are interested in joining the class or wish for more information, please call 492-2537 or e-mail Rev. Lucy Stafford-Lewis.
