MUSIC

Whether you are an infant or 101 years old...or anywhere in between music is an important part of our connection with Jesus Christ. St. Andrew's offers a wide range of musical activities and events. Each choir is open to anyone who wants to participate. We also offer a variety of musical events including summer lawn concerts, Christmas concerts and special musicians. Come join us for beautiful, spiritual, soul-filling music.

Sanctuary Choir

Under the direction of Stephanie Feder, the Sanctuary Choir leads music at the 10:30am services and sings a variety of music - from classics to gospel to contemporary.  In addition to Sunday services, the choir performs special music on Christmas Eve, Good Friday, and Easter.  New voices are always welcome to join this devoted group of singers.  The Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30pm.  Childcare is available with advance notice.

Light Reigns

St. Andrew's outstanding band and vocal ensemble leads the contemporary music at the 9:00am services.  They play a variety of  rock, blues, soul, pop, folk, gospel, and alternative.   Light Reigns rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. under the leadership of John Stafford-Lewis.  

Handbell Choir

The beautiful sounds of bells make worship services very special.  The bells are a treat to both see and hear.  Performances are several times a year, usually in the 10:30am service.  Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. under the direction of Janet Prideax.  Music-reading skills are necessary.

Small Orchestra

JoAnn Small directs this orchestra which is made up of instrumentalists from our children's and youth programs.  The orchestra rehearses as needed for their performances on holidays and special Sundays.

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir is under the direction of Nancy Rohr.  The children perform on various Sundays throughout the year and in special programs for Christmas and Holy Week.  The choir rehearses every Sunday morning as a part of our Sunday School program.  For more information, contact Nancy Rohr.
