Spiritual Growth Ministries

Weekly Meditation Group
Every Monday from 6-7 p.m. at St. Clement's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church's library, (202 Avenida Aragon in San Clemente) This group is part of The World Community for Christian Meditators which holds weekly meetings all over the world. There is no obligation to come every week and if you are new to meditation, there is a very simple method that will be shared with you. It is a simple, silent internal prayer guided by God's command in the book of Isaiah and in the words of the Psalmist: "Be still and know that I am God." If you have any questions, please contact Robert Puff.

Explore your Spiritual Gifts

Many of us know what our talents or abilities are, but may not know how to connect them with God's hopes or call for our lives.  Join us as we explore our God-given gifts and how we use them.  We will meet for 4 consecutive Sundays (January 20, 27, and February 3, 10) in Fireside Lounge from 4-5:30pm.  Contact Rev. Lucy Stafford-Lewis for more information.

Spiritual Growth Day Retreat
Saturday, April 26,
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

St. Joseph Center, Mother Louis Room.

$50 (includes lunch)
The Spiritual Growth Ministry and St. Andrews will be participating in a one day retreat at the Center for Spiritual Develop in Orange. The title of this retreat is “MEISTER ECKHART AND THE PATH OF CHRISTIAN MYSTICISM” on Saturday, Apr. 26, Presented by: David Hoover, MTS. The teaching of Meister Eckhart, sometimes called "the Master of mystics," is for those seeking to deepen their experience of God and to expand their understanding of the path of Christian mysticism. Eckhart reminds us that "we are like a person with wine in the cellar, but we have never tasted it!" To learn from him is to taste of "the spiritual wine created before Adam and Eve" and to be led into a radical and liberating encounter with the Gospel message of Jesus.  For reservations, please call the Center at 714-744-3175 (everyone is welcome).
