Recent Staff Changes

We have had an exciting week on our St. Andrew’s staff, as we have welcomed two familiar faces into new ministry roles on our team.

Carys Mulligan - Director of Children's Ministries

Carys has been on our staff for nearly two years as our older elementary Sunday School teacher. This week she began her new position as our Director of Children’s Ministries at 20 hours per week.

This role was created in response to our growing attendance with the purpose of expanding the ministry we can offer our children and their families. Specifically, Carys will be developing an ongoing older elementary ministry beyond our Sunday morning offerings, co-leading our Summer VBS, and continuing to develop our existing programs. In addition to her ministry here, Carys is also a part of the Elementary Camp Leadership Team at our United Methodist Summer Camps at Lazy W Ranch. We are thrilled to welcome her on board in this new role!

Aimee Mauss - Church Administrator

This week, we also welcomed Aimee Mauss as our new Church Administrator. Aimee has been a part of our St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea church family for almost 3 years, and you’ve likely seen her greeting people on Sunday mornings, being part of the coffee team, and taking attendance. She is also the chair of our Care Team ministry.

In our most recent time without an administrator, Aimee volunteered to go through the admin files and office to get things up to speed for the next applicant. During that time, she began to realize that she loved being part of our office team and that her previous experience as an Office Manager and Executive Administrator could be a perfect fit. After meeting with our staff and members of our staff parish committee, we came to see that she was a perfect fit in this role. Not only does her work experience match our needs, her love for this church and its people will bring that extra something we’ve been looking for. Even in her short time with us, she has had a huge impact on our office efficiency, and we know it’s just the beginning.
